Ride Guide Reviews

From MaineToday.com:
"The White Mountain Guide is an excellent resource for anyone--from the novice to seasoned bicyclist--interested in exploring the natural beauty of our nearby White Mountains."

From The Weirs Times:
"The guide is full of good tips and helpful facts -- much like the benefit of riding with a local."

From The Mountain Ear:
"The biggest improvement is the maps; an accurate map by Larry Garland, AMC (Appalachian Mountain Club) cartographer, accompanies every ride description. The maps alone are worth the price."
"What makes the book interesting and useful is the variety of rides: road rides, off-road rides, and back-road rides."

Marty's Musings
Unaided by sherpas and oxygen, we pressed on. This was an attempt at a first ascent in a yet-to-be discovered mountain range. Though in North America, the range had received little attention unlike peaks like Ranier, Denali and even Washington.

Yet this young, months-old range taunted us daily. We watched as it grew, higher and higher after every storm. Finally, we went for it, the first assault on the Driveway Range in northern New Hampshire.
